Project purpose

The «Zavyaz» workshop promotes networking, improving the professional skills of cultural activists, and the emergence of new cultural initiatives in the regions of Ukraine.

Creating a space for sharing experiences

The first workshop for men and women of the «Zavyaz» culture took place in Poltava on November 27-30, 2025. During four days, 32 participants from Poltava and Kharkiv regions, selected on a competitive basis, improved their skills in project management, communications, finding funding for cultural projects, building partnerships, and also got to know each other and planned further cooperation.

In 2026, the «Ovary» workshop will take place on September 3-6. We invite applications from men and women of culture from Poltava region, Sumy region and Dnipropetrovsk region.

Apply for Participation

Terms of Participation

Be an independent manager, curator of cultural projects or a representative of state, municipal or independent cultural institutions and organizations.
Have at least one implemented project in the field of culture in your portfolio.
Represent one of the priority regions of the project in 2026 — Poltava, Sumy or Dnipro regions.
Be ready to fully participate in the project for four days (the organizers fully cover travel expenses, provide meals and accommodation in double rooms in Poltava for the entire period of the event).

Competitive Selection

The competitive selection will be carried out based on the answers to the registration questionnaire.
When evaluating applications, previous experience, motivation for participation, and the field of professional interests of applicants will be taken into account.
The list of 30 selected participants will be published on the website and official pages of the cultural agency «Tereny» on social networks.

Pitching

During the workshop, participants are grouped into teams and develop their own projects.
On the final day of the workshop, a pitching session takes place, as a result of which several teams have the opportunity to receive grant funding to implement their ideas.
The projects are evaluated by a jury consisting of workshop lecturers and invited experts.

Frequently asked questions

Can I apply if I participated in the «Zavyaz» workshop in 2025?

Unfortunately, no, as we are committed to expanding our network of active cultural actors. However, you can recommend the workshop to your colleagues.

If you submitted an application last year but were not selected, you can re-submit it this year.

How many people from one organization can participate?

An unlimited number of people from one institution or organization can apply. However, no more than two members from a team can be selected. Please note that we consider applications from individual applicants. That is, if an application for participation is submitted by a team or organization, it will not pass the technical selection.

I am from the regions that are listed as priority for this year's project, but currently live in another region of Ukraine or abroad. Can I apply?

Technically, you can. When selecting participants, we pay attention to their motivation and willingness to implement projects in the specified regions. These are the main criteria for evaluation.

I will not be able to join one of the days of the program. Can I apply?

One of the main conditions for participation is presence and active involvement throughout all days of the workshop, as the program is holistic and involves team interaction.
